
Hi, I'm Bill Bistak.
I spent twenty years working as a sleep clinician in Toronto. Then everything collapsed—friendships, relationships, and career. I became the one who couldn't sleep, couldn't breathe, couldn't discover solid ground.
Nobody fixed me. What saved me was being witnessed. Not solved. Seen.
That process took years. It targeted different wounds, different collapses. And somewhere inside it, I learned something that no clinical training had given me: how to witness myself. Not analyze. Not to judge. Witness, with the same stillness, I'd eventually learn to offer others. When I stopped running from what was unspoken and started sitting with it, my nervous system followed. The sleep came back. Deeply. Consistently. This was the first time in years.
That wasn't a coincidence. It was a mechanism. And once I understood it, I couldn't unfind it.
I decided that was the service. Not the clinical protocols. Not the equipment. The thing that actually worked was self-witnessing, structurally supported, with someone trained to hold that space without collapsing it.

It starts with a single session. Sixty minutes. You don't need the right words or a diagnosis. I follow what you bring. I also help identify what may be standing between you and excellent sleep—barriers you may not have named yet.

Our effort can be one session, three sessions inside three months, or a year's worth of sessions. It is your choice.
I don't do therapy. I'm a structured listener. I stay present with what you're carrying without trying to take it from you.
